It’s worth your time to apply; over 30% of last year’s applicants received an award, scholarship or grant to help expand their studios, cover material costs, and continue their education. CraftSmarts and CraftTalks 
The Ontario Crafts Council is pleased to present a new series of professional development workshops, lectures and discussions taking place year round at various venues throughout Ontario. All events are open to members, makers, and the general public. Pre-registration is required for any CraftSmarts attendees and all OCC members receive a special discounted rate. CraftTalks are free to all, no registration required. 

Discounts on Advertising and OCC Publications
Craftfl@sh, CraftSource, and Studio Magazine have a combined annual circulation of over 24,000. Advertising in our publications is the perfect opportunity to reach craftspeople with your events and services. We offer up to 15% discounts to members on advertising within individual OCC publications. Discounts on purchases at the Ontario Crafts Council Gallery and The Guild Shop
Membership with the OCC entitles you to a 10% discount on purchases made at the Ontario Crafts Council Gallery and the Guild Shop. The Guild Shop, our retail store in Yorkville, showcases an extensive collection of exquisitely handcrafted objects by Canada’s talented craftspeople. John Mather Award
John Mather was the founding treasurer of the Ontario Crafts Council and, in 1972, was President of the Ontario Crafts Foundation. After his death in 1977, John Mather was honoured through the establishment of the John Mather Fund, which is administered by the Executive Committee of the Crafts Council.

Since 1980, this honour has been awarded to individuals who have provided service to crafts over an extended period of time. The recipient also receives a life membership with the Ontario Crafts Council. OCC Board of Directors and Affiliate Members are eligible to nominate individuals. Learn more>>

We understand that the key to growing your business is not just selling more, but selling smarter. That is why we have the Marketing Your Craft program, established solely as a service to our Craft Professional Members.
