The 2009 One of a Kind Award for Excellence Presented by the OCC
The Ontario Crafts Council and the One of a Kind Show are pleased to announce Patrick Yeung as the recipient of the 2009 One of a Kind Award for Excellence presented by the Ontario Crafts Council.
Patrick Yeung is a Toronto based functional potter. After graduating from the ceramic program at the Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning in 2006, he continued his studies with a 2 year apprenticeship with Dundas potter Scott Barnim.
Patrick's work reflects his interests in his Cantonese heritage, the routines of cuisine and dining traditions, and contemporary design. He is able to meld all these influences to create work that is useful, pleasing, and memorable.

As the recipient of the 2009 One of a Kind Show Award for Excellence presented by the Ontario Crafts Council, Patrick receives a $1,000 cash prize, a booth at a 2010 One of a Kind Show, promotion in material for that show and a 1 year membership with the OCC.

The 2008 One of a Kind Award for Excellence Presented by the OCC
The Ontario Crafts Council and the One of a Kind Show are pleased to announce Brad Turner as the recipient of the 2008 One of a Kind Award for Excellence presented by the Ontario Crafts Council.
Brad is a recent graduate (with honours) of the Alberta College of Art and Design and is currently an artist in residence at the Harbourfront Craft Studios. His glass work is a mix of sculptural and functional, with a strong focus on conceptual originality, diversity and clean design. As the recipient of the OOAK/OCC Award of Excellence Brad receives a $1,000 cash prize, a booth at a 2009 OOAK show, promotion in OOAK material for that show and a 1 year membership with the OCC. Congratulations Brad!
