OCC

Besides the OCC's annual range of programming, the organization works to develop one-time projects that are supported by special funding. Projects often require collaboration, and in the past few years the OCC has partnered with institutions such as the Canadian Craft Federation and the Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation. These projects and partnerships work to support the OCC's vision in having craft recognized as a valuable part of life, as well as acknowledge the excellence of craftspeople from Ontario, Canada and around the world.

Growing Ontario's Craft Community

The OCC is proud to be a recipient of an Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) grant in the amount of $215, 000 for thirty-six months. This grant funds our Growing Ontario's Craft Community (GOCC) initiative, designed to enhance our operational capacity by hiring regional staff to improve service delivery, online programming and communications, as well as strengthen networks, partnerships and develop new markets for craftspeople across Ontario's communities. In addition to the support of the OTF, the OCC has received further support from the McLean Foundation and the Henry White Kinnear Foundation. Having started in 2008 in Eastern Ontario, followed by the Southern region, and now entering our third year in Northern Ontario, we invite you to click on the links below to see what has been happening and what might be coming up near you!
